Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnels 1 Day Trip by High Speed Boat

Saigon River Express offers premium water taxi and ferry service throughout Saigon. The primary boarding location is the central pier in district 1 across from the Renaissance Hotel.  The Cu Chi tunnel is only a one hour boat ride from the central pier and then thirty minutes by land. This is the fastest and most pleasurable way to get to Cu Chi Tunnels from Saigon. This new tour program to Cu Chi Tunnels is designed to avoid busy traffic in Vietnam and save time to visit more sightseeing within one day from Saigon.

Tour program:

Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in the center of Saigon then transfer you to Bach Dang Jetty (at Me Linh Square, opposite to Tran Hung Dao Statue, Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam).

Upon arrival, we will get on the boat which goes around Thanh Da Islet and across Binh Quoi Village area, sightseeing and take photos on the way. Then the boat goes upstream of Saigon River to Lai Thieu pottery shops. You have chance for shopping with small pottery items as souvenirs with reasonable price.

The next attraction, boat continues upstream passing Lai Thieu orchards and stops-over at Thu Dau Mot town; you will have a short sightseeing around the town.

Then we leave Thu Dau Mot for Ben Dinh where we have few hours to discover the mystery of Cu Chi Tunnels. This huge construction was a habitation for villagers in the war time. With 3 levels of depth, it was never discovered by the US during the Vietnam War despite its proximity to Saigon. Visit the fighting tunnel system with your local guide.

If you are that way inclined, you can purchase ammunition and fire a weapon of the war on the rifle range.

After visiting Cu Chi Tunnels, the boat goes downstream and returns to Saigon. Drop you at Bach Dang jetty. Transfer you back to your hotel in Saigon. End of the trip.
